The talented Norwegian DJ and producer recently launched a track called The Sting Within Me, created in collaboration with STING Energy and backed by Formula 1 and Warner Music India. This electrifying song made its live debut during the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Barcelona Grand Prix 2026 weekend, thrilling thousands of fans in attendance. Known for his chart-topping hits and cinematic electronic sound, Walker aims to encapsulate the speed, tension, and excitement of race day into a unique musical experience. The project was inspired by a viral fan observation that the sound of a Formula 1 engine resembles the word “Sting,” blending motorsport culture, fan enthusiasm, and music to resonate with a new generation of listeners.
Walker revealed that one of his biggest inspirations “I would describe it as energetic, cinematic, and uplifting. There’s a strong sense of movement running throughout the track, but it’s balanced with emotion and atmosphere. The mood reflects the excitement and anticipation you feel before a race begins.”
He wanted the music to embody that rising energy. The roar of the cars, the pressure before the lights go out, and the buzz from the packed grandstands all played a crucial role in shaping the emotional essence of the track.

The inspiration for the track sparked when Walker stumbled upon a viral video featuring DJ Armin van Buuren, who noted that a Formula 1 engine roaring at full throttle sounds strikingly similar to “Sting.” This intriguing idea stuck with Walker and ultimately laid the groundwork for his project. Collaborating with STING Energy, Formula 1, and Warner Music, he was able to tap into race audio and engine recordings, which served as creative touchstones during the production process. He also gained valuable insights from chats with George Russell, the driver for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS.
Instead of just mimicking engine sounds, Walker aimed to capture the emotions that come with Formula 1. The track was designed to embody the thrill of acceleration, the suspense of the race, the energy of the crowd, and that exhilarating sense of always moving forward. He described Formula 1 as having a natural rhythm, where the engines, the tension of the race, and the atmosphere all create a unique musical heartbeat. The song made its debut during the Barcelona Grand Prix weekend, giving fans their first taste of this concept in real-time. Released by Warner Music India, The Sting Within Me is now streaming on all major platforms around the globe.
