The century landmark in the T20 format is probably one of the best feelings for batters. The milestone highlights a lot of specific skills and the kind of satisfaction the players get when you contribute for the team is unmatched. However, when batters reach the 90s, they tend to get nerves and ultimately end up forcing a loose unwanted shot. Even though professional players are made for situations like this, their quick decisions could end up proving to be costly. In the IPL, there have been several such players who just fail to keep their composure and end up getting out in the unlucky 90-run mark.
This list consists of some extraordinary cricketers and some young talents who are just getting a hang of the big stage. Some of the IPL legends such as David Warner and KL Rahul are also there in the list for being dismissed thrice in the 90s. Recently this season, we saw Vaibhav Sooryavanshi being dismissed in the late nineties in two consecutive games for the Rajasthan Royals. These players could have accumulated a lot more centuries than they already have and they would be absolutely gutted for falling just short. Here is a list of the players who have been dismissed for the most number of times in the 90s:
Batters with most dismissals in 90s in the IPL
| Number of Dismissals | Player |
| 3 | David Warner |
| 3 | KL Rahul |
| 3 | Glenn Maxwell |
| 3 | Ruturaj Gaikwad |
| 3 | Vaibhav Sooryavanshi |
5) Vaibhav Sooryavanshi – 3 times
The teenage sensation has been the talk of the town in the 2026 edition of the IPL with some brilliant batting displays. He has been dismissed in the 90s thrice, with two of them coming in the all important TATA IPL Playoffs. He was vivid with himself as he was dismissed in a similar fashion. The youngster could have had four IPL centuries by now and he wouldn’t be able to believe his luck.
4) Ruturaj Gaikwad – 3 times
The Chennai Super Kings skipper has been another player in the list who is a composed batter but when it matters the most, he has just lost his focus. Gaikwad has been dismissed thrice in the 90s and he would be disappointed in missing out on so many 100s. He is renowned for his calm batting approach and sensible batting but the nervousness seems to have got the better of him when he was in the 90s.
3)Glenn Maxwell – 3 times
The Australian all-rounder has been one of those players that entertain the fans and he is also lovingly called “The Big Show”. His batting approach itself is completely determined by his power and six hitting ability. Glenn Maxwell has been dismissed cheaply thrice in the 90s in the IPL, and that would have been some achievement for the explosive batter.
2)KL Rahul – 3 times
The Delhi Capitals batter has been a run machine in the IPL as every year he consistently accumulates more than 500 runs. KL Rahul has been one of those players that is a joy to watch and he shifts gears in a jiffy. He also holds the record for the highest individual score by an Indian in the TATA IPL. He has been one of the finest Indian batters and yet he has been dismissed thrice in the 90s.
1) David Warner – 3 times
The former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain is considered as one of the best overseas batters in the league’s history with his unmatchable consistency. He has led the SRH side to a trophy in 2016 and he has won the Orange Cap as well. David Warner has been dismissed thrice in the 90s and he has missed out on 3 well deserved centuries.
