Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma set dance floor on fire as RCB secure second consecutive IPL crown

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is renowned for its exciting games, however, recently, the title winning celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru provided much more than cricketing entertainment. It was under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, that the Royal Challengers won the IPL 2026 title against Gujarat Titans in the final match by five wickets. Even though it was Kohliโ€™s unbeaten innings of 75 runs that made the win possible, it was his celebration after the game that stood out. The celebrations followed RCBโ€™s five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kohli played a decisive role with an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls. As the winning runs were scored, emotions spilled over. Anushka Sharma cheered from the stands before joining the players on the field and later at the team celebrations.

To celebrate their accomplishment, the team and support crew of RCB spent an entire night in celebration. Kohli was seen dancing with actress Anushka Sharma along with batting coach Dinesh Karthik and team member Krunal Pandya. Videos of players enjoying themselves in the dressing room and other celebrations were taken while players danced and sang about their achievements.

This triumph held special significance for the team. RCB defended its IPL title and became the third franchise after Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings to win back-to-back IPL titles. In a fitting manner, RCB wrapped up their season with a dominant display in the finals. Kohli’s innings of 75 runs not out played a crucial role in achieving this feat.

Soon after the win, RCB players changed into commemorative T-shirts carrying a simple message: โ€œOnce felt nice, we did it twice.โ€ 

The slogan reflected the franchiseโ€™s achievement of winning consecutive IPL trophies and served as a reminder of their sustained success across two seasons.

The shirts became an instant talking point among fans. Designed by the teamโ€™s kit sponsor, they symbolised more than a single victory. They represented consistency, belief and the ability to repeat success under pressure. Kohli wore the shirt prominently during the celebrations, making it one of the most recognisable images from the title-winning night.

Harry Kane joins global voices in praising Kohli and RCB

The victory celebration of RCB had gained attention even beyond the boundaries of the sport itself. The captain of England football team as well as Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, celebrated the success achieved by both Kohli and RCB by posting congratulations on Instagram.

It is important to note that his congratulations were not just an example of respect for another sportsman; on the contrary, it was an indication of Kohli’s high popularity among sportsmen all over the world.
