Sevilla vs Inter Milan: Team news

Sevilla

Sevilla coach, Julen Lopetegui has been using his trusted 4-3-3 formation to grind out impressive results, we’re likely to see the same this Friday. Quarter-final hero, Lucas Ocampos is a doubt for the game, but Sevilla are yet to disclose any definite reason. All other players are fit and raring to go.

Absentees: N/A
Doubtful: Lucas Ocampos

Inter Milan

Inter, too, don’t have many worries in terms of team selection, and Antonio Conte should be able to field his favourite 3-5-2 formation with ease. Matias Vecino (knee) and Alexis Sanchez (thigh) are the only two players who would miss the Europa League decider.

Absentees: Alexis Sanchez (thigh), Matias Vecino (knee)

Sevilla vs Inter Milan: Prediction

The experience of Sevilla versus the ruthlessness of Inter Milan — Friday’s Europa League final is set to be a topsy-turvy encounter. Both Julen Lopetegui and Antonio Conte have done superbly over the last few weeks to lead their respective teams to the top of the second most prestigious club competition in Europe.

Of course, on their day, both Sevilla and Inter Milan have the quality to set the stage on fire. So, it’s futile to declare a clear favourite. Hence, we’re trying to play it safe and only predicting based on current form and the match sharpness of the players.

With that in mind, it’s difficult not to put Inter a little ahead of La Liga giants, Sevilla. The Italians have two inform strikers in Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, are coming into the match on the back of a 5-0 win, and have won all matches in the Europa League this season.

It’s going to be a close one, but we can picture Inter walking away with a narrow 2-1 win.

Sevilla vs Inter Milan final verdict: 1-2
