As gameweek 37 came to an end in Serie A, champions, Juventus suffered a shock 2-0 loss to Cagliari.
Inter Milan, Atalanta and Lazio occupy the second, third and fourth spots respectively, with the trio joining Juventus in the Champions League next season.
Roma and AC Milan are now certain to finish at fifth and sixth spots respectively, thereby qualifying for next season’s Europa League. Seventh-placed Napoli will also play in the second-tier continental competition by virtue of winning the Coppa Italia.
At the other end of the table, Genoa and Lecce will be involved in a relegation battle on last day, with the former having a single point advantage. Brescia and SPAL have already been relegated.

Goalkeeper: Alessio Cragno (Cagliari)
Alessio Cragno displayed a goalkeeping masterclass against Juventus as he helped Cagliari to a famous 2-0 victory at the Sardegna Arena. He kept a clean sheet, made the highest number of saves (10) and recoveries (18) in the game.
Right-back: Wilfried Stephano Singo (Torino)
Wilfried Singo was outstanding against Roma and scored for the first time in his Serie A career. However, the Ivory Coast Under-20 international was not able to take his team to a victory as Torino narrowly lost 3-2 to Roma.
Centre-back: Danilo D’Ambrosio (Inter Milan)
Danilo D’Ambrosio had a brilliant game against a strong Napoli side. The Italy international scored the opening goal of the game and helped keep a clean sheet as the Nerazzurri defeated the Gli Azzurri 2-0. The win kept Inter Milan in the second position behind champions, Juventus.
Centre-back: Nikola Milenkovic (Fiorentina)
Nikola Milenkovic had a wonderful outing against Bologna as Fiorentina managed to move into the top half of the Serie A table after a 4-0 victory. The central defender scored a goal, helped his side keep a clean sheet, managed the highest number of passes (53) and the second-highest number of blocks (1) in the game.
Left-back: Federico Mattiello (Cagliari)
Federico Mattiello was superb against Juventus, with the Atalanta loanee helping in keeping a clean sheet and providing his first assist of the season in a famous 2-0 win for Cagliari. The left-back also made the highest number of tackles (2), interceptions (3) and blocks (4) in the game.
Central midfielder: Hakan Calhanoglu (AC Milan)
Hakan Calhanoglu has simply been superb since the restart. The Turkish international was in devastating form against Sampdoria in a number 10 role. The former Bayer Leverkusen star scored a goal and provided an assist as the Rossoneri thrashed Sampdoria 4-1.
Central midfielder: Amadou Diawara (Roma)
Amadou Diawara has turned out to be a good signing for Roma since making his move from Napoli last summer. The Guinea international had a brilliant game against Torino in which he scored his first goal for the club, managed the third-highest number of passes (56) and the second-highest number of tackles (2) in the game, which the Giallorossi won 3-2.
Right-winger: Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo)
Domenico Berardi had a brilliant all-round game as Sassuolo thrashed Genoa 5-0. The Italian international scored a goal, provided two assists, managed the highest number of recoveries (8), and the second-highest number of interceptions (2) in the game – he was effective at both ends of the pitch.
Left-winger: Federico Chiesa (Fiorentina)
Federico Chiesa is enjoying a great Serie A campaign. The Italian international was on song again as he scored his first hat-trick of the season and helped Fiorentina to a 4-0 victory over Bologna. Chiesa has now scored 10 goals in 33 league outings this season.
Striker: Francesco Caputo (Sassuolo)
The Italian striker, who has been lethal in front of goal this season, played a key role in Sassuolo thrashing Genoa 5-0. Francesco Caputo scored a brace to take his Serie A goalscoring tally to 21 for the season.
Striker: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (AC Milan)
38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ageing like a fine wine. The veteran Swedish striker, who has previously played for Juventus and Inter Milan in Serie A, scored a brilliant brace and provided an assist as AC Milan beat Sampdoria 4-1 to qualify for next season’s Europa League.
