Even Luis Enrique’s contract extension through 2030, announced before kick-off, could not make it a celebratory night in Paris. PSG will now look to turn things around quickly, with Champions League action coming up next week.

We need to prepare for the future.” Monaco’s victory leaves them top of Ligue 1 with three wins from three, while PSG have just two points. The defeat also came shortly after PSG announced contract extensions for Enrique and several key players, making the disappointing result even harder to swallow. PSG will now turn their attention to European football as they look to get the season back on track.
