The Jalandhar captain came out aggressive from the start and raced to his half-century in only 16 deliveries to register the fastest fifty of the tournament. He kept up the good work in his innings and kept on finding the boundary often, putting the Soormas bowlers under pressure. The 26 year old batter reached his century in only 41 balls before finishing unbeaten on 125. His quick innings saw 14 fours and eight sixes.
Singh’s knock proved decisive in an extraordinary run chase after Amritsar Soormas posted 264/5. Warriors raced to 103/1 inside the first six overs. Their captain set the tone for the chase and he shared a 109-run partnership with Harjas Tandon before he continued with Anmol Malhotra. The Punjab Kings’ player kept on hitting from the crease until the end and steered Jalandhar Warriors to 265/2 in 16.5 overs, completing the chase with 19 balls to spare. His unbeaten 125 was comfortably the stand out individual effort of the contest to turn what could have been a daunting target into a very easy chase for the Warriors.

Captain Abhishek Sharma smashed 82 off 36 balls, while Naman Dhir continued the assault with a spectacular 117 from 56 deliveries. Dhir struck seven fours and 10 sixes, helping Soormas post a massive 264/5 in 20 overs. Jashanpreet Singh also added a quick 33 from 12 balls.
Warriors responded with an equally explosive batting display and completed the chase with 265/2 in 16.5 overs, winning by eight wickets with 19 balls remaining.
