“Our deepest gratitude for his support and commitment”: Ravi Kant Chauhan thanks ICC Chairman Jay Shah for backing differently-abled cricket

Ravi Kant Chauhan of Differently Abled Cricket Committee, BCCI and former Physical Disability Cricketer, expressed his gratitude to ICC Chairman Jay Shah and the BCCI for their continued support towards differently-abled cricket. He highlighted the importance of bringing State Associations into the development of the sport. Chauhan said the move marks a significant step towards creating a stronger and more structured pathway for differently-abled cricketers across India.

“Our deepest gratitude to Shri Jay Shah Ji for his support, understanding and commitment towards differently-abled cricket. His willingness to listen, understand the journey and give the sport greater attention at the BCCI level has given our players renewed hope and confidence,” Chauhan said.

“As State Associations are now being encouraged to become part of this journey, we sincerely thank Jay Shah Ji and the BCCI for helping create a stronger path forward for differently-abled cricketers across India,” he added.

Ravi Kant Chauhan’s comments came after discussions at the 95th BCCI AGM on bringing State Associations into the development of differently-abled cricket, marking another important step forward.
