Vincent Kompany has defended his decision to leave Harry Kane and Michael Olise on the bench for Bayern Munich’s 0-0 draw against Schalke. The priority was to have them available for that because it was a Pokal game.” He added that Kane and Olise were still not ready to handle a full workload. “They’re still not in the right condition to be under full workload. It was a rational decision.” Despite the explanation, the rotation ultimately came at a cost, with Bayern failing to score in the league for the first time in a long time.
