There have been many batting performances in the history of the Indian Premier League. Some batsmen have also performed spectacularly in every game they have played in the league. The ability to score consistently in T20 cricket matches requires high levels of skill due to aggressive play and risks involved in the format. Though there have been numerous outstanding innings in the history of IPL, the criteria for consistency lie in the ability of players to score more than 50 runs in virtually every match they play in a season. The IPL has also seen numerous captain-led teams achieve greatness through consistent wins over an opposing team. But in terms of batting consistency in a single season, some stars stand out.
Scores that exceed 50 usually turn the tables in favor of the batter’s team. They offer the team a good start and force the opposition into defensive mode. In every IPL season, some players have achieved spectacular streaks of half-centuries and centuries. However, there is one performance by a star player that remains unsurpassed in the annals of history.
