In IPL 2019 DCvsRR, With the help of half-centuries of Rishabh Pant (78 not out) and Shikhar Dhawan (54), Delhi Capitals secured the top position in the table by defeating Rajasthan Royals by six wickets in the 12th edition of the IPL played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Monday.
Rajasthan, batting first before losing the toss, made a huge score of 191 for 6 in 20 overs, with the help of half-centuries from captain Ajinkya Rahane (105 not out) and captain Steven Smith (50). Taken by losing 4 wickets only.
This is the seventh win in 11 matches of Delhi and now it has reached the top of the table with 14 points. Delhi has reached the top spot in the league for the first time since 2012.
At the same time, Rajasthan has lost 7th in 10 matches and the team is at seventh with six points.
Chasing the target of 192 runs from Rajasthan, Delhi got off to a good start by opener Shikhar Dhawan (54) and Prithvi Shaw (42) for the first wicket with 72 runs in 7.3 overs.
Then Dhawan was stumped off Shreyas Gopal’s ball. He hit eight fours and two sixes in 27 balls. This is Dhawan’s fourth half-century this season of IPL 2019. Shortly after his dismissal, captain Shreyas Iyer (4) also became a victim of Ryan Parag.
After losing two wickets on 77 runs, Shaw strengthened the position of Delhi with 84 runs for the third wicket with once again Pant. Shaw was dismissed as the third batsman on the team’s score of 161. He hit four fours and a six in 39 balls.
In IPL 2019 DCvsRR Delhi had to score 30 runs to win in the last three overs and the team achieved the target by losing four wickets with four balls remaining.
Pant hit six fours and four sixes in an unbeaten half-century match of 36 balls. Colin Ingram scored three not out and Sherfen Rutherford scored 11 runs.

On behalf of Rajasthan Gopal took two and Parag and Dhawal Kulkarni took one wicket each.
Earlier, Rajasthan made a huge score of 191 for six with the help of a superb century of Ajinkya Rahane (105 not out) and captain Steven Smith (50) with half-centuries, but his bowlers did not defend the score.
Rajasthan started to bat after losing toss and bad starts and Sanju Samson (0) was run out on the score of five runs from the team.
After that, Rahane and Smith shared Rajasthan with a 130-run partnership for the second wicket in 75 balls. Smith was dismissed as a second wicket on 135 for the team. He hit eight fours in 32 balls.
After Smith’s dismissal, Ben Stokes (8) was dismissed as the fourth batsman on the team’s 157 and Ashton Turner (0) as the fourth batsman on 163 of the team’s team. Turner has been out for zero for the third time in a row.
Apart from them, Stuart Binny smashed 19 fours in 13 balls with the help of two fours, to give Rajasthan a score of 191 for six. Ryan Parag scored four runs on three balls.
In IPL 2019 DCvsRR, Rahane remained unbeaten till the end. He hit 11 fours and three sixes in an unbroken inning of 63 balls. This is Rahane’s second IPL century.
Kagiso Rabada took two wickets from Delhi and Akshar Patel, Ishant Sharma and Chris Morris taking one wicket each.
