Vishwanath Ravichandran hails from Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu and was born in the same year as the famous T20 World Cup win for India, which happened at the inaugural edition of the event.

From an international cricketing standpoint, the record for the most ball touches on the cricket bat belongs to Wayne Madsen.
