Most wins for a team at a venue in IPL

The lights, the cheering crowds, and playing on the same turf may soon become the most formidable armament a side possesses in the Indian Premier League. Many clubs have established themselves as fortress-like establishments through many seasons of success within their home venues over the years. As of the year 2026, Mumbai Indians are the first to be on this impressive list having scored 58 wins at their home venue, Wankhede Stadium. Following closely are Kolkata Knight Riders (55), Chennai Super Kings (53), and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (50). Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad make the last team in this top list.

Also, a recent landmark was marked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they became the fourth team to notch a total number of 50 home wins at their home grounds after defeating Gujarat Titans. This placed them among only four teams to cross the mark at a single ground. Notably, each team’s record highlights consistency, crowd advantage, and familiarity with conditions over a long period.

Mumbai Indians – Wankhede Stadium

The Mumbai Indians have created their fort at the Wankhede Stadium. They lead the charts easily with 58 victories in 96 matches played there, losing only 38 matches. Since 2008, the Mumbai Indians have been dominant at the stadium due to solid batting strength with home awareness.

Kolkata Knight Riders – Eden Gardens

KKR have made for themselves a good record at Eden Gardens. With 55 victories out of 99 games, they can boast of consistency. As they have lost 42 games, their domination is due to consistent performance. This is definitely the most dominant home ground in IPL history.

Chennai Super Kings – MA Chidambaram Stadium

Chennai Super Kings trail right behind with 53 wins from MA Chidambaram Stadium. They have participated in 80 games at the ground, winning only 26. The ratio is quite impressive for a team that has been one of the best in history. Since 2008, CSK’s approach at Chepauk has delivered consistent results.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru – M Chinnaswamy Stadium

Royal Challengers Bangalore joined this elite band with their win number 50 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The club has played more than 100 games in this stadium, winning exactly half of them. Although they have lost 47 times, RCB has become a stronger team recently. Their latest victory marked a key milestone.

Sunrisers Hyderabad – Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

Sunrisers Hyderabad complete the tally with 40 victories at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. With a total of 67 games played, SRH lost 25 out of those matches. SRH, since its entry into IPL in 2013, has been consistent in performing well at its home ground.

Overall, it is clear that home grounds remain key in determining success in the IPL. Familiar pitches, crowd support, and conditions continue to give teams a decisive edge.
