Even if a P14 were to account an F1 driver some points, scoring fourteenth as his best place finish in a proper Formula 1 Grand Prix may not have given Aussie driver Jack Doohan any satisfaction, whatsoever. The simple reason being given his talent and desire to succeed in F1, there’s plausibly not much, nothing actually that Jack Doohan has been able to achieve in what is a small stint in Motorsport’s top flight.
Here’s a piece of news that is bound to leave Jack Doohan himself and the legion of fans of the name Doohan utterly disappointed. But again, it’s what it is.
How so?
Alpine confirmed on Tuesday that it has ended its partnership with Australian driver Jack Doohan, following a short and difficult spell in the 2025 Formula One season.

Doohan struggled for results last year, failing to finish three of his six races and recording a best result of 14th place in Bahrain.
The 22-year-old, the son of motorcycling legend Mick Doohan, stepped in for Esteban Ocon at the conclusion of the 2024 season and was later confirmed as a full-time race driver for 2025.
However, after retiring from the Miami Grand Prix in May, Doohan was moved into a reserve role.
In a statement, Alpine said the decision was made by “mutual agreement” and would allow Doohan to “pursue other career opportunities.”
Despite the split, the Franco-British team praised Doohan’s “commitment and professionalism” during his four years with the organisation, both on and off the track.
