WPL 2026 Schedule, Opening Ceremony, Teams, Date, Time, and More

The Women’s Premier League aka the IPL for women’s game is poised to take off in the next few hours. But what’s most interesting about the tournament that today has touched a global audience, besides the prominent Indian, English and Australian players.
Truth be told, the all exciting WPL season will be first since the accomplished victory of the women’s team in the mega ODI finals as seen in last year’s ODI World Cup. Furthermore, the fresh season of the noted franchise league comes not without a bit of a dampener. While on the one hand Harmanpreet Kaur’s winning Mumbai Indians side would serve a fresh bid to clinch another title following their 2025 crown, the new season won’t be where Ellyse Perry, who needs little introduction, would be seen for her RCB camp.

It’s worthwhile to note that the Royal Challengers Bangalore are an outfit that besides being brilliant and talented won the crown even before their male counterparts were able to lift glory.

On such a fantastic occasion which is the 2026 WPL season, not having Perry, an RCB legend and a major crowdpuller given her amazing talent is going to impact the Smriti Mandhana-led side. That told, what are the other players who would like to play a part in their team jostling for positions on the tables and what can the fan expect from some of the most interesting and arresting talents with the bat? Think Ash Gardner. Think Meg Lanning, Annabel Sutherland, Nat Sciver Brunt and the likes and forget not the long line up of some of the rising Indian and English talents who’ll see in WPL 2026 a new chance to consolidate their position in the sport’s entertaining format.

The forthcoming season, just about to begin, has so much for us to ponder but if you’ve been pondering about what is the schedule of the WPL 2026 then here it is:
