Vaibhav Suryavanshi calls ‘Dhurandhar’ his favourite film

The ability is infinite, and so too is the talent. The capability is enormous and so too is the distance that the white ball travels when it connects the meat of the bat, which unless we forget, is a common scenario or a recurring sight, not an awkward once-in-a-while occurrence. Vaibhav Suryvanshi, who is not even 16 years of age, is all this and more.

When he bats, you stay glued to not just the screens (whether the big TV set of the gadget from which you watch the proceedings) but even that scoreboard. For it doesn’t rain stationary; it rotates with the speed one sees fire raging from a towering inferno.

The flow of runs becomes a dominant discourse of the cricket match, and several of his 2025 IPL exploits, are a fine reminder of that. Something that the young Rajathan Royals batter is all set to- hopefully- repeat come the brand new edition of the checkered Indian Premier League.
