Why? Few know the reasons. Isn’t it?
Despite boasting strong squads over the years, Delhi Capitals are yet to secure their maiden IPL title. With players like Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Prithvi Shaw, they have consistently looked competitive.
However, inconsistency in crunch moments and an inability to handle high-pressure knockout games have often held them back.

Lucknow Super Giants have been one of the more consistent new teams, reaching the playoffs in multiple seasons. They peaked, speaking of 2025, at the right time and went as far as the knock out virtual quarter final tie, the eliminator against Mumbai. They knocked out Mumbai and then reached the finals. In so doing, they stunned spectators and gained new fans. But in the final, Iyer’s spirited Punjab side met their match in the tireless and resounding Mumbai team.

It could be said, their biggest issue has been inconsistency — frequent changes in leadership, unstable team combinations, and failure to build momentum across a full season have cost them dearly.
