For quite some time now the world is yet to hear the golden phrase that stands for utter domination by the best in business: “Get in there, Lewis!” In other words, it could also mean- “It’s Hammertime, Lewis!” As a matter of fact, the words haven’t yet been heard with Lewis Hamilton in red. Ever since the great seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton has moved base from the dominant silver base of Mercedes at Woking to the mesmerising Maranello for Ferrari, the hype and the performances have dried up. Haven’t they? What was once the buzzword in Formula 1- Hammertime, Lewis- has become a thing of the past. Hamilton’s Ferrari woes exacerbated by the fact that for the first time ever did he endure a season marked by an absolute podium drought.
This was the case with 2025, a year Ferrari may do well to forget especially now that F1 is about to undergo live once again with 8 weeks left for live action in the new year. And just when it seemed that nothing else could go wrong for the 2020 world champion that here’s another blow of sorts for the man from Stevenage. So what is it?

Seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton will begin the 2026 season with a new race engineer after Ferrari announced a change in his engineering team. The Italian squad confirmed that Riccardo Adami, who served as Hamilton’s race engineer during his difficult debut season at Ferrari in 2025, has been reassigned to a different role within the organisation.
It ought to be noted that Adani, a seasoned engineer who previously worked with Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz, will take up a position overseeing the Ferrari Driver Academy and the Test of Previous Cars programme. However, their only year as colleagues in red overalls, 2025, was marked by tense radio exchanges as far as the last season was concerned.
What is to come now for Lewis in 2026 is something ones yet to see. Hopefully, it’ll get better and the legend of the sport will find better performance and greater team synergy than what has been evident the last year. For the tireless giant deserves nothing less.
