Venue: Stamford Bridge
Referee: Paul Tierney
The two form teams of the Premier League are set to clash on Sunday when Chelsea host Tottenham for a London derby at Stamford Bridge.
Aside from the subplot of Jose Mourinho taking his Spurs side for the first time to his former club Chelsea, the clash is also expected to be an early indicator whether the two London teams can back the talk of being pretenders to Liverpool’s throne this season.
Both teams are in terrific form and have not lost a league game in the league for a while.
Their performances have made them early contenders for the league title this season but they are yet to show whether they can sustain this over the period of the campaign as Liverpool have not shown any signs that they are prepared to relinquish their title any time soon.
Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur: Head-to-Head
Chelsea have a superior record over their London rivals since the two sides first met in 1909 in a League Division One game.
The Blues have won four of their last five games against Tottenham and the only defeat came in a penalty shootout loss in the EFL Cup earlier in the season.
Spurs have not beaten Chelsea in the Premier League since November 2018. Chelsea did the double over Tottenham last season in the league.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur: Prediction
Both teams are coming into Sunday’s London derby in roaring form but Chelsea’s home advantage will count for something due to Tottenham’s dreadful record at Stamford Bridge.
Spurs have won just once in their last 34 visits to Chelsea and have registered just one clean sheet in their last 17.
In fact, Tottenham have won just seven of their last 56 meetings with Chelsea in the Premier League, including losing the last three.
Jose Mourinho’s record at Stamford Bridge as the opposition manager is also not inspiring as he has lost his last five visits since beating Chelsea as Inter Milan boss in 2010.
However, this Spurs team look solid and have shown more mettle under Mourinho this season despite sometimes not playing particularly brilliant football.
It promises to be a close game and we are hedging our bets on Spurs just edging it against Chelsea despite their record at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur predicted scoreline: 1-2
