Dwayne Bravo Turns Back the Clock With Stunning One-Handed Catch in WCL

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo pulled off a stunning catch in the World Championship of Legends match at Sharjah. The 43-year-old was standing near mid-off when Faf du Plessis tried to clear the circle but the ball came off the toe-end, hanging in the air longer than expected. Bravo turned, sprinted backwards, realised it was just beyond him, and launched himself fully airborne. One outstretched right hand, body horizontal, and he plucked a stunning catch. He landed, held on, and the whole ground was in shock for a second before breaking into celebrations.

Even Faf who was walking off after making just 14, gave him a thumbs-up. At that age most players are managing knees and recovery days, Bravo was still throwing himself around and turned back the clock with this stunning piece of fielding. The video went viral on social media with fans praising the effort of the West Indies all-rounder. It was instinct, timing, and pure athleticism which reminded everyone why he is still one of the best fielders in the world.

South Africa Champions beat West Indies Champions by 97 runs

South Africa Champions completely dominated the match against West Indies Champions. They batted first and piled on 242 for 5 in 20 overs. Richard Levi set the tone with a brutal 87 off 39 balls, packed with eight sixes. After Bravo’s catch removed Faf early, AB de Villiers took over and smashed 70 off 39. The pair put on a quick fire 104-run stand that put them right on top. West Indies Champions never recovered with the ball and the extras and loose overs kept the scoreboard flying. Chasing 243 was always going to be tough and they were behind in the game.

Chris Gayle gave them hope with a typically violent 60 off 31, but once he fell the rest of the batting folded. Imran Tahir and Aaron Phangiso shared six wickets between them, strangling the middle order. Carlos Brathwaite’s late 29 was only a cameo. West Indies were all out for 145 in 18.2 overs, losing by a massive 97 runs. Levi won the Player of the Match, but one of the best moments of the match which had everyone talking was that one-handed leap from Bravo.
