India had been outstanding throughout the final.
Batting first, India posted a huge 216/3 in 20 overs, powered by a brilliant innings from Smriti Mandhana. The left-handed opener smashed 79 runs from 45 balls, hitting five fours and seven sixes.
Shafali Verma also made a valuable contribution, scoring 48 off 29 deliveries, while Richa Ghosh provided a sensational finish with an unbeaten 49 off just 22 balls.
